The company "Tauberkraft GmbH" was founded in 1995 by 10 pioneers from southern Main-Tauber-Kreis, located in Germany near Würzburg. They where driven by their interest in reducing unemployment and improving environmental quality as well. They planned and realized a hydrogenic power plant at the existing dam in Schäftersheim. Since October 1999 Tauberkraft GmbH is producing electric energy for the "Überlandwerke Schäftersheim", a local electric power supplier. We document the history of this project here.
